  • The Municipal Zoological Garden was established in 1951 on the Vistula escarpment. The garden currently breeds ca. 3000 animals in 350 species, among them tamarins and marmosets-the world's smallest monkeys, as well as recently imported penguins. The Zoological Garden, picturesquely located on the Vistula escarpment, features more than 3,300 animals in 430 species. The garden specializes in reptiles and has many peculiarities of the animal world, such as tamarins and marmosets (pictured) - the world's smallest monkeys. The Plock Zoo has the largest marine and freshwater aquariums in Poland. It is also worth seeing toucans, great loras, black-headed ibis or Siberian weasels, which are rare in Poland. In cooperation with botanical gardens, a collection of trees and shrubs is presented.
