Church of St. John the Evangelist

Feedback

  • The church was built between 1340 and 1360, and was consecrated in 1389. Initially it served as a place of defense against Tartar invasions. After those times, what remains in the churchele well known as the Tatar well. The church was rebuilt, but to this day from the outside it looks more like a fortress than a religious building. Noteworthy among the church chapels is the Chapel of St. Roch , which is the only one built in Rococo style. Also interesting is the Marian Chapel, also known as the Maltzic Chapel, with a sandstone altar.
