One of the employees serving the route makes it clear that the preference is to serve large tours and individual customers are not welcome. The date injing for which tickets had been sold, and instead of starting with an apology, the worker was unkind. She also shouted down other female employees who wanted to solve the problem. Despite the postponement, she refused to refund the unused tickets. I do not recommend, such behavior of the staff takes away the pleasure of the trip.
robert o. - 02.06.2022The "route" employee is lying. I witnessed a phone call in which the group reported that the bus broke down and would not arrive. No information about this to me osobiastically was not transmitted. The employee, as I mentioned, behaved aggressively towards me, shouting at me and the other 2 female employees.
robert o. - 02.06.2022Also a place worth recommending, there are a lot of interesting things in the cellars, you can take a picture with a white lady or taste wine.
07.08.2010Attractive tour. There is a guide who tells an interesting story. Visiting the place, it is not just empty corridors underground alone. The hosts made sure that something się happened during the tour and the tourist did not fall asleep from boredom in the underground.
26.03.2010The establishment of Opatow's dungeons was related to the growing importance of Opatow and its location: merchant routes from Silesia and Cracow to Greater Poland crossed here, to Pomorze and Halich Ruthenia. The period of prosperity was especially in the times of Chancellor Krzysztof Szydłowiecki - the owner of Opatów. The girdling of the city walls limited the possibility of constructing new buildings, and the cellars of the already existing ones were not sufficient for the growing merchant warehouses and artisan workshops. Therefore, merchants and burghers began to "descend" under the first storey of cellars - this is how the second and third levels of cellars were created, which were not regular in nature and were often built without casing, as allowed by the properties of the loess soil. Cellars were used not only for storing goods, but also for defense purposes. They protected the city's population in case of danger, such as during particularly frequent raids.
