The Halik Festival originated from a dream. A dream to go somewhere far away, to experience on one's own skin the hardshipsóof travelólife and to come in contact with a different thing.reality. For some, travel is a youthful passion and the courage to overcome the fear thatóry others keep in a warm armchair, for others it is a job when they have to travel far to do research or write journalistic reports.

The festival is a meeting not only with the travelers, but above all
with the people theyóve met along the way and with the cultures of distant countriesów.
We don't want to show the „struggle against the górra” but stories about the people in the górra
living, we don't want crossings of the desert, but reflections on
the state of the communities living in the desert. We don't want „conquering
Amazon”; but reliable information about Indians and their daily life.

Practical information:

This year's edition will be held on October 3- 4 at
Obornice Cultural Center and Cinema.

Detailed schedule can be found at: www.festiwalhalika.pl

In addition to slideós shows, speakersós speeches and interesting workshopsós, there
will still be many additional attractions waiting for
everyone, including an
orienteering run to get the joints moving.

The event is organized by the Association Ośrodek Kultur
Świata which is a non-governmental organization operating in Oborniki
Śląskie and Wrocław since 2008.
.
