The Stillfried Castle is an important point on the map of cultural monuments in Nowa Ruda, despite the fact that the owner does not open the building to tourists. The Stillfried Castle of the 16th centuryThe castle (palace) - former residence of the barons von Stillfried - was rebuilt several times, including extensively in 1700-1730. In 1731 the castle tower was dismantled and reconstruction of the building was carried out again. The last major reconstruction took place in 1796. At that time the pre-castle was demolished, and a two-story representative hall with an ornamental facade was added to the castle building, and the northern wing was expanded. The magnificent four-winged building with an inner courtyard and a five-axis portico topped with a balustrade rises on the edge of the slope of the so-called upper town and closes, from the southwest, together with the former pre-castle square, the Novorudz market. The castle is privately owned.
