    Unique Stay: June 2020

The creation of a chamber in Niewolno commemorating the Holocaust of World War II is the initiative of death camp inmate Henryk Wrzeszczynski. In addition to camp memorabilia, the acquiredch from prisoners and their families, Trzemeszno residents also deposited regional memorabilia. Over the years that the Chamber of National Remembrance has been in existence, there have been theses by high school students, theses by teachers, and theses by students defended at the master's level. A doctoral dissertation was also written. Over time, the rooms on the first floor were adapted into a village hall. The camp collection was taken over by the Stutthof Museum in Sztutowo, which in 2009 prepared two small rooms provided by the Trzemeszno Municipality for exhibition purposes. A thematic exhibition presenting selected original exhibits against the background of a professionally presented historical narrative was prepared on the first floor. The exhibition was financed with funds from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. It is open to the public after prior telephone contact.
