The wooden church in Kamieniec was erected before 1404 by the Canons Regular of Trzemeszno. The church's furnishings date from the 17th and 18th centuries. Inside we find a baroquey altar with a painting of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, two side altars with antique paintings and sculptures, a late Baroque pulpit and organ. Today the Roman Catholic parish church of St. James the Elder is a valuable monument of wooden architecture. According to some, it ranks among the most interesting monuments of rural wooden religious architecture in the region. It is beautifully located near Kamieniecki Lake and surrounded by a wreath of groomed old trees.
