The manor house itself in Zloty Potok, which we now associate primarily with the Krasinski family, was probably built on the initiative of Stanislaw Leski in 1829.Ten years laterhe manor belonged to the Skarzynski family, and soon after to the Pintowski family. In 1851 the manor house, along with the local estate, was acquired by General Wincenty Krasinski, the poet's father. The one-story manor house was built on a rectangular plan and presents itself in a classicist style. The nine-axis front elevation has a porch supported by two Tuscan columns. The roof is covered with shingles. The interior was rebuilt - after a fire - in 1952. Zygmunt Krasinski, one of our three bards of the Romantic era, visited the Krakow-Czestochowa Upland region three times. The first time was in 1849, when he and his family visited the Jurassic area on the occasion of his stay at Jasna Góra. The area evidently appealed to Krasinski, as two years later the poet's father decided to purchase the local estate. Zygmunt visited Zloty Potok in 1852 in passing, and then stayed here in the summer of 1857, making numerous hikes in the area with his wife and children. The poet also gave names to local ponds, rocks and springs. His idyllic stay was interrupted by the death of his youngest daughter, four-year-old Elisabeth. At that time the bard decided to leave for Paris. The manor house now houses the Zygmunt Krasinski Regional Museum. The facility was opened in 2008, on the initiative of the municipal authorities. It continues the traditions of the Krasinski Biographical Museum, which operated here in 1985-2007, being one of the branches of the Częstochowa Museum. Among the exhibits presented in the museum are the first editions of some of Zygmunt Krasinski's works, portraits of the family, as well as (intended for Delfina Potocka) an "Erard" piano, which Frederic Chopin himself helped the poet select.
