The "Taborskie Pines" reserve is located on the edge of the village of Tabórz, in the municipality of Lukta. It was established in 1957 as a forest reserve, the purpose of which is to protect old-growthpine trees belonging to the so-called Tabor ecotype. The unique qualities of the wood of Tabor pines have made these trees an internationally valued and desirable raw material for centuries.
