According to local folk accounts, the inspiration for the founding of the Yablenchinsky Monastery was the miraculous appearance of the icon of St. Onufry near the village of Yablenchin, which at theflowed along the Bug River. The residents of Yableczna and the owners of nearby estates felt this as a manifestation of God's special favor and established an Orthodox monastery on the site of the icon's appearance. Anyone who wants to know and feel the cultural diversity of Eastern Poland should not miss a visit to this beautiful place. Through a meeting with the clergy living here, you can hear how wonderful and full of graces this place is. Currently, the monastery houses the icon of St. Onufry, which, according to legends, was said to have sailed here on the Bug River. and another interesting fact is that even during the Cold Wars and the tragic Brest Union for the Orthodox, uninterrupted masses in the Orthodox rite have been held from the 15th century to the present day.
