<p>The only place in Poland of miraculous apparitions of the Mother of God, recognized by the Catholic Church. From June 27 to September 16, 1877, she appeared here to two children.To the girls, the Mother of God. As at Fatima, after the apparitions, a springóof which the pure water has the power of healing gushed out. The shrine is visited by about one million pilgrimsów annually. A remarkable, peaceful, contemplative place. I recommend to visit the Minor Basilica, whichótion was given by Pope Paul VI in 1970, the Warmian shrines, the Stations of the Cross and the miraculous springódełko. On the Sanctuary grounds there are several barsóing with tasty food, souvenir stores. In Gietrzwald, I recommend the Warmian cuisine at the Warmian Inn and the Gallery Full of Miraclesóin the Communal Cultural Center at 1 Kościelna Street.</p>
