In 1999, through the efforts of Rev. Miroslav Litvinovich, a 20-meter-high Greater Poland Cross (also known as the Millennium Cross) was erected on top of the hill, which jest thanksgiving for 2,000 years of Christianity and a monument to the turn of the millennium. Since then, the hill has been called the Hill of the Cross and has become a venue for religious as well as cultural events, such as open-air classical music concerts.
