    Unique Stay: August 2014

The local imam who told us about this mosque made me and my sister a pseudo-tattoo on our hands.... He wrote our names in Arabic with such a thick marker. ByeFor days the inscriptions held hands, but they did not make it to the start of the school year. They were fortunately documented in photos

    Very good Stay: August 2014

A local imam served as a guide at the mosque. In the village of Bohoniki there are, as of 2014, three Tatar families who pray at the local mosque. The minaret is missing becauseThere are no crowds of worshippers to call to prayer. Nearby is a mizar, or Muslim cemetery. There are quite a few Poles buried there, some of the old graves have inscriptions in Russian.

  • The mosque in Bohoniki - one of five active mosques in Poland. It was built at the turn of the 20th century, probably in 1873.Historical documentation does not preserve thewas discovered, but such a date was discovered in 2005 during a major renovation of the building walls on the frame of the front door. The temple was built after the fire of an earlier mosque of Tatar settlers to be located near the historic cemetery located in the eastern part of the village
