On the territory of the park, in addition to Lake Sniardwy, there are 60 lakes connected by the Krutynia River or canals. The Masurian Landscape Park has 11 natural reserves.ody. One of them, encompassing Lake Luknajno, was listed in 1977 as a UNESCO international biosphere reserve and as a protected site under the international Ramsar Convention.
