The "Pazurek" reserve is a fragment of the ancient forests that once surrounded Olkusz to the north. The beech and sycamore forests contain sites of many protected and endangeredożone species of flora. Pazurek Nature Reserve was established in 2008 and covers an area of 187.91 hectares between provincial road 783 connecting Olkusz and Wolbrom and the railroad. The highest elevation in the reserve is Zubowe Skały (440.6 meters above sea level) forming an unusual rock city. The reserve is home to 290 species of vascular plants, including dozens of protected ones headed by rare orchids, 86 species of bryophytes and 22 species of cap fungi, as well as more than 100 species of animals. In the beech forests of the reserve there are 35 species of birds, and in the pine forests there are 18 species. Through the area of the reserve there is a red marked didactic path, forming a loop of more than 5 km, and two blue connecting trails from the railway station in Jaroszowiec and from the forest parking lot on provincial road 783 near the village of Pazurek.
