03.03.2017Founded in the interwar period by forester and botanist Izydor Kriesten. A small garden picturesquely located on a steep slope of Lesieniec, at an altitude of 700 - 710 m.Above sea level, surrounded by spruce forest and mountain meadows. It was created in the 1920s by clasping a hillside and leading numerous paths within it. It was founded by Isidor Kristien as a tribute to fairy tales, the enchanting surroundings, and the all-powerful Mountain Spirit. The numerous specimens of ornamental garden plants and typical mountain plants gathered here are the backdrop for the original fairy tale motifs, i.e. figurines, totems, houses, gazebos and others, made mostly from tree roots and branches, as well as stones. There is also a miniature of the former stone observation tower from the top of Snieznik. The Fairy Tale Garden is located near the red and yellow trail leading from Międzygórze to the Sanctuary on Mount Igliczna. In the garden among many species of plants we can find fairy tale characters and constructions created from wood and roots. The garden is cared for by the local branch of PTTK. A unique land of carved fairy tale characters and forest houses, lying above a waterfall at an altitude of 780 m. The creator of the garden was Izydor Kriestan, who for 20 years created his work in tribute to fairy tales and the Spirit of the Mountains - Liczyrzepa. After restoration, the Garden is very popular not only with the youngest visitors.
