  • In Malenec, located 24 kilometers west of Konskie, on the Black River, there is a historic rolling mill and nail mill complex with a history of over 200 years. Zhe factory was founded in 1784 by the castellan of Lusk, Jacek Jezierski, who guided King Stanislaw August Poniatowski around it in the summer of 1787 and gave a feast for him. Over the years the owners changed, modernizing the machinery and changing the production profile. Among the perfectly preserved elements of the plant's equipment to this day, the most interesting are: the production cycle, rolling metal sheets and making household tools out of them, the rolling mill, nail mill and spade mill halls from 1839, as well as unique machines and water wheels. The spatial complex of the Malenec plant, entered on 21.06.1967 in the register of monuments of the province (then Kielce), consists of: the hydropower system, production buildings, the factory estate and the so-called castellated road. Every year in July, during the technology and tourism festival in Kuźnica Konecka, one can see the historic machines and equipment being put into motion.
