Climate: the Lublin Upland is marked by a predominance of continental influences with large amplitudes of annual temperatures, and with long summers and long, cold winters. In the period ofe 1951 - 1995: average annual multi-year temperature + 7.3 o C average annual multi-year precipitation 552 mm Configuration: The garden is located in the Chekhovka River valley and includes a section of it and the adjacent slope from the west, cut by three loess gullies and part of a plateau. The height difference between the lowest and highest points is about 40 meters. Soil: the Garden's area is dominated by loess-derived loess soils; on the slopes there are eroded brown soils, and in the depression there are alluvial soils. Café "U Baba Yaga" invites you to coffee, tea, cold drinks, ice cream. On request, we organize cultural and entertainment events around the campfire. Since the first days of April, you can already take a walk in the Botanical Garden of the UMCS. It has been in operation since the 1960s, and has 7,000 plant species in its collection. More than 60,000 people visit it annually. Visitors to the garden can already use the second entrance (in addition to the one on Solidarności Avenue) - it is located on the side of Willowa Street, where there is also a parking lot. In May, the "botanic" will host a convention and conference of heads of such centers from all over Poland (there are 17 gardens in total), also in the spring the UMCS will publish an album dedicated to the 45th anniversary of the Lublin garden. There is a fee to enter its grounds. A regular ticket costs PLN 5, while a discounted ticket costs PLN 2.5.
