On the initiative of the Leba branch of the Kashubian-Pomeranian Association, on July 25, 1999, a sculpture by artist Piotr Tyborski was set up in John Paul II Park.him a statue of St. James the Apostle. The statue was part of the famous Sopot papal altar (1999) designed by Prof. Marian Kolodziej.
