Krynica is located on the Route of Orthodox Church Architecture. In one of the parts of this village - Słotwiny is located, dating back to the eighteenth century, the former Orthodox Church of the Protection of the Holy Cross.The Church of the Holy and Blessed Virgin Mary. AKtually it is the parish church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The church was built in 1887-1888 on the site of its predecessor, which was burned down in 1796. It is made of wood, a charming log structure with a square tower. The building is crowned by three bubble domes with blind lanterns. A few elements of the church furnishings remain, including an 18th-century Baroque tabernacle with a carved throne and a 19th-century Baroque-classical candlestick.Of the church furnishings, only a Baroque (18th century) tabernacle with a carved throne and an image of Christ by a pillar and a 19th-century Baroque-classical candlestick have survived. It is now a Roman Catholic church.
