Lake Wdzydze (kaszb. Jezoro Wdzëcczé), also known as Kashubian Sea, Great Water or Szerzawa - is a lake in Bory Tucholskie in the county of Kościerskie (voivodeshipPomerania), in the area of Southern Kashubia. Includes five lakes connected with each other: Wdzydze, Radolne, Golun, Jelenie and Słupinko. Total area of 1570.3 hectares (the largest lake in the Kashubian Lake District), depth of up to 68 meters (the main lake Wdzydze). However, the dimensions of Lake Wdzydze alone are 1068 ha and 8 km long. The entire body of water is covered by the Wdzydze Landscape Park. There are large islands on the lake (including Ostrów Wielki, which is inhabited, Ostrów Mały, Sorka, Sidły and Glonek), the total area of which is 150.7 hectares. The Wda River flows through Wdzydze. The lake, which has no permanent connection to the Baltic Sea, is home to sea trout. Its occurrence in this body of water is disputed among ichthyologists
