Butorowy Wierch. Polish Cable Railways

Butorowy Wierch. Polish Cable Railways

Being in Zakopane or Koscielisko, in addition to Gubalowka, you must also visit - connected with it by a scenic section of the Pope's Route - Butorowy Wierch. The height of this mountain massif in the Tatra Mountains is 1160 m. Why is it worth going there? The cable car "Butorowy Wierch" has been operating here since 1978. Entering by chairlift provides an unforgettable experience, as it is great to see the entire panorama of the Tatra National Park from this place. Wonderfully visible from here you can also see the charming Zakopane and Koscielisko. Railroad "Butorowy Wierch" is open only in the spring and summer seasons. You can get to the top by taking the trail from Palinka, marked in green. An interesting form of visiting the area is also to take the cable car to Gubałówka, walking along the ridge to the upper station of the chairlift "Butorowy Wierch" to go down by this very lift. Near the cable car is the ski station Polana Szymoszkowa, where you can take advantage of the beneficial effects of thermal waters on the orgaznim, taking a bath in special pools.
