It was created on the Ropa River in the Gorlice district. The width of the reservoir reaches up to 400 meters , length up to 4.5 km , depth up to 25 m. The height of the dam is 34 m. At the zapora is home to a small peak power plant with a capacity of 4.5 MW. Along the lake shore there are many small bays, the shoreline is very varied. The shoreline is gradually being developed, water equipment can be rented, there are fast food bars, campgrounds.
