Instead of new palaces for Social Security, bonuses for civil servants, wouldn't the nation prefer, and even demand, that these breathtaking, INDEPENDENT and uniquee monuments in the end with our money/taxes! Eh, it makes you want to cry when our money is wasted like this.... Instead of sustaining what can never be restored again.
13.07.2016At one time it must have been a beautiful palace. Your heart breaks when you listen to the guide telling you how much good was stolen from this place
29.08.2015HELLO,I WAS THERE AT THE END OF THE VACATION,ITS AN IMPRESSIVE SIGHT...BUT:-((MY HEART BROKE WHEN CLIMBING THE FAIRY TALE STAIRCASE IT TURNED OUT THE CASTLE IS IN A DEPLORABLE STATE,TOO BAD IT IS NOTHAS ADEQUATE FUNDS TO RENOVATE SUCH A CASTLE:-))I RECOMMEND,ITS VIEWING AND WALKING THROUGH ITS RUINS IS FASCINATING-PARK AROUND IT TOO.
16.09.2012Something wonderful! I highly recommend, although the restoration is limping along badly and there is much to be done. The building mistakenly called a castle is actually a palace staged in prezence of the wedding of a German princess. You must be there to hear the whole intricate story from the guide. You can also eat at a fantastic restaurant. For me, this is one of the most wonderful places to visit.
17.02.2010Impressive in its grandeur, the romantic castle was built on the initiative of the scandalous Dutch princess Marianne Louisa of Orange. The palace had more than 100 roomsresidential rooms with a total volume of 52,000 m3. The representative function was performed by the southwest wing, in which the Great Hall, referring to the Great Refectory of Malbork, was placed on the height of two floors. Despite the damage done here over the past decades, the deserted castle with its beautiful, gleaming walls still gives the impression as if taken alive from a fairy tale.
