One of the many attractions in Kamień Pomorski is the von Kleist manor house. It was built in the 14th century as the Dean's Curia. However, in the 16th and 17th centuries it was destroyed pby fires, so its current appearance is due to a sizable reconstruction that took place in the 18th century. In the 18th century, the manor house was home to Ewald Georg Jurgen von Kleist, then administrator and dean of the church and also a physicist who researched electricity.
