    Very good Stay: October 2012

A very pleasant place to visit. The guide tells a much more interesting story than in the case of the nearby Elbow Grotto, where I think they are basing their tour on the great popularity of miejsca and. check it out for yourself, by the way. I recommend viewing the cave in late autumn, before the winter break. You can then watch the bats descend into the cave for their winter hibernation period.

  • Nietoperzowa Cave is located in the Jerzmanowice-Przeginia municipality. It was also known as Jerzmanowicka, Księża or Biała. The name of the cave comes from the remains of a fossil foundal and contemporary bats. The cave is located in a group of rocks in the upper part of the Bêdkowska Valley. Located 447m above sea level, it is 306m long. It is one of the largest caves in the Cracow Jurassic. Noteworthy is an infiltration waterfall in the initial part of the cave and numerous vortex cauldrons on the ceiling in its deeper parts.
