Biskupia Kopa is the highest elevation of the Opawskie Mountains, which are part of the vast massif of the Jeseníky Mountains - part of the Eastern Sudetes. This is the only mountain in the Opole regionThe tourist region has excellent climatic conditions, which are largely due to the mixed forests covering the slopes. Beautiful mountains, picturesque valleys and streams, as well as many charming corners and historical landmarks await tourists. The region has a very well-developed tourist base, with numerous resorts, guesthouses, campgrounds, swimming pools, bicycle rentals, numerous catering outlets. In winter, good snow conditions, ski lifts and slopes attract beginners and advanced skiers. Biskupia Kopa owes its name to its former owners, the Bishops of Wroclaw, who received the land from Hungarian King Matthias Corvinus in 1474. From its summit one can admire the panorama of the Czech border town of Zlate Hory, the Jeseníky mountain ranges with their highest peak Praděd (1492 m), and on the Polish side there is a picturesque view of Glucholazy and Nysa, on good visibility one can also see Nysa and Otmuchowskie Lakes.
