What moat? The grass is growing. Ruins cool, I recommend.
Paul - 11.08.2017I didn't see the castle before, when it was just a pile of rubble, but now it looks pretty decent. The moat with water I was delighted with, but as I walked around the castle, itIt turned out that the water, unfortunately, did not reach everywhere. It is necessary to deepen the trough a little. The castle itself does not reach an impressive size, but it is pleasing to the eye. Tickets do not have to be purchased, and on a hot July weekend it was visited by quite a few tourists in addition to me. Very cleverly solved lighting of cellars with displays, using natural sunlight.
21.07.2013I didn't think the rebuilt castle would be so spacious. I was here a few years ago when there was rubble in the field and a few walls measuring no more than 3 metersy. Now the castle is a real attraction and can finally be called a "castle". The place is interesting, although I was personally discouraged by the modern elements one encounters during the tour. One could have asked for the castle's corridors to be lined with pavers or stone, rather than modern tiles. I also missed information boards from which I could learn what purpose the room I am currently in was used for. Someone could also take care to separate areas that are not accessible to visitors, because upon entering one of the corridors one finds a stash of chairs and.... a sink against the wall. ;) Something is also wrong with the moat, as it does not maintain continuity. It looks as if the builders ran out of time to dig a deeper pit in one of the places. Despite these few flaws, I recommend this place.
