The Medieval Settlement in Huta Szklana is a journey back in time to the early medieval era at your fingertips. Succumb to the charms of the sacred witch Lilana andthe knowledge of the gulesmith Wszemysl, who will be your guides through this extraordinary land. Visit the medieval chizyna of artisans from under the Holy Cross: potter, carpenter, herbalist, blacksmith, weaver, Slavic innkeeper, saddler or bee-keeper. Listen to the extraordinary stories of Krainka, Tkalinka, Skóromir, Ognislaw, Miedzislaw, Zwid, Cieślowit and other inhabitants of the Medieval Settlement. We offer tours of the Settlement and interesting interactive workshops on weaving, blacksmithing, wickerwork, herbalism and medieval cookery, during which you can make a wicker basket or clay pots with your own hands. You can also participate in a "settlement field game," where groups are given a map with tasks to complete. Led by a chief, the teams solve puzzles to reach further points and clues leading to medieval treasure. Staying longer at the Settlement, one can take part in medieval scouting activities, i.e. archery, tug-of-war, or searching for a "needle in a haystack."
