In the village of Swierkocin, south of Gorzow Wielkopolski, there is a Zoo - Safari. The entire park covers an area of 22ha and is divided into 4 sectors, along which you canand ride in a car or tour bus. The idea of such a park is appealing insofar as the animals in the zoo usually seem to be heavily bored, while those in the park enjoy their freedom and give the impression of being much more content with life. Zoo Safari is located in Swierkocin in the Witnica municipality in a picturesque area near the Warta Mouth National Park. It was established on July 27, 1996. Currently, Zoo Safari occupies an area of more than 20 hectares with about 600 animals. It is a facility that is bustling with life ? new animals are constantly appearing, social and entertainment facilities are being expanded. Mr. and Mrs. Rasmussen also promise that Zoo Safari will soon be enriched with new attractions, and efforts are being made to acquire more land so that the animals have the best possible living conditions. Zoo Safari is the first zoo in Poland through which you can drive a car and see wild animals up close. Safari-type facilities are a revolutionary and unique way to interact with wild animals kept in confinement. Visitors are not separated from the animals by bars, glass or even moats. In addition to the safari area, Zoo Safari has a pedestrian zoo and an amusement park area, where you can use the carousels as many times as you like. In the following guide you will be able to get acquainted with the species of animals we have in the collection, learn about the most important features of their biology and behavior. We will begin our tour of the Swierkocin Safari Zoo with a visit to the safari. This is the largest part of the zoo and it is primarily what distinguishes our zoo from other zoos in Poland. The safari is divided into several sectors, named after the geographic lands or continents from which most of the animals kept in each sector originate. Children will also surely enjoy a visit to the zoo-safari in Swierkocin near Gorzow Wielkopolski. There you can feel as if you were on the African savannah or the Mongolian steppe. You drive through the safari area in your own car. During a visit to Swierkocin you can meet zebras, antelopes, buffaloes, ostriches, llamas and camels, among others. In the specially arranged MiniZoo, children can pet mini pigs, alpacas and goats. The zoo also features an "Arcadia of Joy and Fun," or amusement park. Zoo Safari is located in Świerkocin (Lubuskie province, Witnica municipality) in a picturesque area near the Warta Mouth National Park. It can be easily reached by road no. 22 Gorzow Wlkp. - Kostrzyn by turning to Slubice, or by road no. 133 Skwierzyna - Kostrzyn and in Krzeszyce head for Gorzow Wlkp.
