Gdynia Aquarium

About 1,500 animal species and 54 tanks of widely varying capacities, the smallest of which holds 270 liters of water, while the largest holds as much as 16,000 - this is what the Gdynia Aquarium looks like in numbers. Watching its exhibition, we will get acquainted with both freshwater and saltwater creatures from four regions of the world: Southeast Asia, South America, East Africa, as well as Australia. Visiting the aquarium is an attraction for both children and slightly older travelers visiting the Tricity. The greatest impression on visitors here is certainly made by piranhas - known for their incredible predation - which live naturally in the Amazon basin, as well as a living coral reef. The Gdynia Aquarium is an entity created by the Maritime Institute of Fisheries, whose mission is primarily education and protection of nature, including - animal species threatened with extinction. Numerous scientific researches are also conducted here. The Gdynia Aquarium offers family tickets, which is sure to please parents visiting the city with their kids. Like other entrance tickets, as well as vouchers, they can be purchased online or at the on-site ticket office. It is worth spending about an hour and a half to visit the entire exhibition. The aquarium is located near Gdynia's city beach.

I do not know who wrote these comments that it is so beautiful in this shoddy place, perhaps it is written by employees or owners to attract and pull more gullible peoplew. I personally think that there is nothing interesting to see there and only wasted time and money on tickets. Similar impressions can be found in any major pet store where they sell fish and quite free. Besides, on a hot day you won't see anything there anyway because of the fogged up aquariums, but what can you expect in stuffy rooms without air conditioning in which a crowd of sweaty tourists is passing by.

A place to return to many times. Beautiful colorful fish. For my son the biggest attraction was the aquariums where you could catch a fish in your hands.

I highly recommend, especially to parents. Coming every year from Zagłębie under the Gift of Pomerania, I avoided the Aquarium and that was a mistake.

The fish exhibited in the freshwater aquariums come from four regions of the world: Southeast Asia, Australia, South America and East Africa. The biggest attraction for visitors is, of course, the piranhas from the Amazon basin, famous for their predation and aggressiveness. The biggest attraction of the Aquarium is the living coral reef. In the 2,700-liter tank you can admire dozens of species of corals and other invertebrate animals such as appendages.
