The current collections of the Elblag Museum include the legacy of the pre-war City Museum, which was founded in 1864, as well as post-war acquisitions and donations. The museum in Elbląg is engaged in collecting materials relating to the history of the city of Elbląg and the surrounding area. Elblag - recovered testimony of the past. The presented exhibition is an attempt to look at the former, and so far unknown Elblag, everyday life of its inhabitants through the prism of the objects they used. They were discovered during many years of archaeological research conducted in the Old Town of Elblag. Approximately four thousand diverse relics were presented at the exhibition, showcasing items made of various raw materials: clay, leather, glass, wood, metals, amber, horn and bone.
