The medieval layout of the Market Square, with its Baroque and Renaissance buildings, holds many secrets. In one of the tenements in 1727, the abdicating Polish king Jan Kazimierz. The bas-reliefs, stone portals and numerous symbols found on the facades of the buildings are evidence of the city's rich history.
