    Very good Stay: September 2009

If you will be around then take some time to stay in Chojnice. It is a nice,well-kept city with a beautiful market square and restored townhouses.Because of the close she neighborhood of Lake Charzykowskie is worth staying longer.I return here every year for several years.

  • Due to its age and prominence, Chojnice's most important monument is the Church of St. John the Baptist. It was built in the 14th century, on the site of a former wooden church. In about1340 began to erect the chancel and tower, finally the body, the whole was completed in 1360.The monumental three-nave church is built in the Pomeranian Gothic style of red brick, on a foundation of granite boulders, with a quadrangular tower on the west, in which the main portal is located. A vestry is attached to the chancel on the north side, and a chapel of the Virgin Mary and a porch - built between the scarps - are attached to the body.
