The "Świętokrzyski Shtetl" Educational and Museum Center in Chmielnik is a unique modern museum in a former synagogue, recalling how for several hundred years Jews andPoles lived side by side in small towns, in the provinces - just in the shtetls. The biggest attraction is the world's only glass bimah - a reconstruction of an 18th century bimah, which was then made of stone. Next to the synagogue in the area of the oldest Jewish cemetery is the Shadow House, a monument dedicated to the memory of Chmielnik's Jewish residents.
