It was Sunday, a sunny morning, we drove up to the Center. Closed! Well, nice. Suddenly someone called out.... Mr. Jozef Gluszek, the curator of this museum, came and for us, 4people, he began to tell the history of this object, the history of his family, which has made a significant contribution to this object. He told the story with passion.... and I remember it perfectly, despite the passage of years. And from this place I warmly greet him. And to all visitors I highly recommend this place
24.03.2010In 1996, on the initiative of the villagers, the Moravica Municipality Office and the National Museum and the Provincial House of Culture in Kielce, the construction of a new facility with a character in the museum's Pottery Tradition Center in Chałupki, opened to the public on October 4, 1998. The exhibition at the museum illustrates the history of folk pottery in Chałupki, one of the most interesting pottery centers in Poland. The exhibition consists of two parts: an exhibition and a workshop. The first part presents the beauty of clay products produced in Chałupki. This exhibition consists of pottery made by masters of this craft: Armanski, Glushkov, Sowinski, Możdzynski, Kuchn, Wojow. This section also contains the magnificent works of master potters, who were not engaged in the production of utilitarian vessels, but also in the production of figural pottery. There are clay figurines made by Stefan Sowinski, Elzbieta Klimczak, Feliksa Armanska and Monika Klimczak. The second part of the center houses an authentic, two-chamber pottery kiln (with a demonstrated method of arranging vessels prepared for firing), as well as equipment and tools necessary for the production process. The Pottery Tradition Center in Chałupki is the only one of its kind in Poland.
