In 1813 year he died <br /> here during the Napoleonic campaign Field Marshal Russian Mikhail Kutuzov. In the years <br /> 1945-1991 it housed a museum dedicated to this figure.The Department History of the City Museum <br /> Ceramics has been operating here since 2009. <br /> The earliest history of the city is documented by the archaeological collections, discovered during excavations. <br /> Among them are among others. objects discovered in the fortress of the famous <br />rabbit knight – Black Christopher, and also stone armorials or originating from <br /> a burial burial urn with attachments. <br /> One of the most interesting rooms is undoubtedly the one in which the interior of a 19th-century pharmacy has been arranged. In wooden cabinets hidden are dozens of containers for medicines, <br /> pó³ products, and even poisons.The nature of the rooms, which resemble rather an office <br /> peculiarities, is highlighted by crafted animals – including a crocodile, lizards and frogs. <br />In the Museum you can also see furniture and elements of the interior, as well as rich <br /> iconographic collections.The They are extremely valuable to researchers of Boleslawiec's history, just like <br /> the city chronicles (especially the 17th century copy of Holstein's chronicle),describing the history of the city <br />over the centuries. <br /> Part of the exhibition is dedicated to events from the Napoleonic times, which had great <br /> significance for the fate of the city. Napoleon himself stayed in Boleslawiec five times, and in <br />the building, in which houses the Department of City History died Mikhail Kutuzov. In one of the halls <br /> are collected militaria from the Napoleonic period, including a French baton cuirassier from 1813. <br />and a British rocket rifle Brown Bess, and also numerous artillery shells: among others.Among others: a powerful <br />mortar bomb, caliber 10.8 inch weighing about 50 kg.The <br />exhibition is complemented by multimedia presentations, films and audio recordings. After viewing <br />the exposition you can relax in the museum courtyard surrounded by greenery. </p>
