The Lonjsko Polje Nature Park is easy to reach by public transportation or by car from Zagreb via the A3. It stretches along the river Sava and is one of the largest eur opean wetlands. The park has a large number of bird species. Most famous is the village Cigoc awarded "European stork village" by the European Nature Foundation in 1994, recommended to visit. Traditional archictecture of the 18th and the 19th century is amazing.
