The city is located on a high embankment on the Vistula River - a picturesque panorama that has fascinated artists, travelers and for the inhabitants of Plock for centuries is a source of pride. A visit to the ancient capital of Mazovia is worth starting with the Tumski Hill. Towering on it are two towers of the prince's castle, in which today houses the Diocesan Museum. Opposite, the Cathedral Basilica stands proudly. You can see the polychrome, the Royal Chapel covered with darkness, and the sarcophagus of Władysław Herman and Bolesław Krzywousty in it. Near the castle and the cathedral is the oldest school in Poland - "Małachowianka".
