About Jastrzębiej Górze

The Baltic Sea is not one of the warmest seas. However, every Pole dreams of even a few days of relaxation on the Baltic beaches. Although we often complain about the capriciousness of the weather, the sea itself also likes to play pranks and despite the persistence of high temperatures, greets fans of the sea experience with quite low water temperature. Despite these minor shortcomings, the Polish sea offers a truly unique way to relax, and the coastal towns guarantee tourists a lot of additional attractions. One of them is undoubtedly Jastrzębia Góra.

It is a charming town located near one of the most popular cities on the Polish sea, ie Władysławowa. Jastrzębia Góra, interestingly, is the most settlement unit in the north of the country. As for the history of the settlement, the first mention comes from the interwar period, so it is a relatively young settlement. Until then geese were bred in the area of today's small town.

The name comes most probably from the fact that large hawks are gathering in the town. Since its inception, the town has been one of the fastest growing sea resorts in Poland. Already in 1920, the village was visited by such eminent figures of Polish history as Józef Piłsudski or Ignacy Mościcki. Among other things, thanks to this, Jastrzębia Góra enjoys considerable prestige. Most tourists come from Warsaw.

Currently, in Jastrzębia Góra there are three bathing beaches. Once you have time to enjoy the sun on the exceptionally well-kept and clean beaches, or we are tired of swimming, we can use the seaside kitchen in quite pleasant restaurants and cafes. The advantage of Jastrzębia Góra is that despite some prestige, prices here are slightly lower than in nearby Władysławowo. With additional attractions, it is worth taking a commemorative photo with a special obelisk meaning the most northern place, it is the North Star.

From other curiosities, it is important to note that it is in this area that there is an extraordinary phenomenon called white at several times a year. It consists in the fact that the sun sets behind the horizon, but only on several degrees, which makes the nights are not so dark.
